Family Company founded by Michel Trentesaux, Sami manufactures at the beginning mainly rollers for printing industries. To better answer to the requirements of the printers, SAMI starts a collaboration with them and settles in the sixties in Malesherbes where most of the printer are located.

To face the market trends, SAMI decides to develop in 1980 its own formulations and creates Mérylithe its sister company which is specialized in the formulations of elastomers and who works in partnership with research laboratories as INSA of Lyon.
